Named after the spectacular waterfalls in the garden and pool area, the Cascades Hotel is part of the Sun City Resort. Having recently undergone an extensive refurbishment project, the hotel, its restaurants and rooms have been transformed. The themed pool area has changed into a tropical paradise, reminiscent of the azure blue of the tranquil Mediterranean.

The original garden area is now a lake with cascading waterfalls, and the lawn areas are now a sandy beach complete with a secluded bathing area and sand bar evocative of Tom Cruise’s ‘Cocktail’ movie. Guests can enjoy the ambience complete with bikinis and flamboyant barmen. There is a heated pool, a Jacuzzi pool and children’s pool.

The internationally acclaimed Sun City Resort, deep in the rugged bushveld, in the heart of an ancient volcano, is the world's most unique holiday destination. The resort comes complete with a casino, superbowl dome, waterpark, two golf courses, a lush jungle, a wave pool for surfing enthusiasts and is surrounded by excellent game parks just minutes away. Sun City has a unique heartbeat and African rhythm of its own and is unlike any other resort destination in the world. Adjoining the Resort is the malaria free Pilanesberg National Park, home to the Big 5 and an abundance of excellent game viewing opportunities.

ROOMS

In the standard and family rooms, the entire bathroom was reconstructed and enlarged. Amenities now include a separate large shower cubicle which provides an intimate and private experience and a separate bath that is the ideal place to unwind.  The bathrooms have double vanity units and are somewhat larger than standard hotel bathrooms. Standard rooms include an armoires and writing desk, a mini bar, a computerised safe, a colour satellite television with remote control and air-conditioning.

The luxury rooms were also given the ultra-superior treatment. Each room has its own dressing room with built in dressing table, cupboards and shoe racks. The furnishings have also been upgraded and are a tapestry of the verdant gardens and tranquil beach pool area.

DINING

Santori Restaurant is surrounded by glass windows providing an all season enclave, harbouring guests during winter. Alfresco dining takes place along the island promenade and delightful gazebo’s offer shaded areas where guests can relax informally and enjoy a delectable meal.

The Peninsula Restaurant is a design concept is a combination of French Provencal and African Tropical. The restaurant is airy, sunny and comfortable yet it has the indefinable sophistication of yesteryear.

Cascades Hotel Pool Deck Area serves light meals.

Vistas Bar is open seven days a week and has a wonderful view of the gardens and waterscapes. Enjoy a light lunch here.

Peninsula Lobby Bar is the ideal venue for pre-dinner drinks and cocktails.
